How do i erase my lineart blank background so I can color it?
I hand drew a picture and since I don't have a scanner (it broke) I took a picture of it and now I need to figure out how to erase that mess in the background so I can color it.
I'm fairly new to using Photoshop, help would be seriously appreciated.
once you scan into photoshop, you can save that file as psd, then duplicate layer for editing,
if alpha channel is not on layer, add alpha channel to layer,
then you can erase white areas,
what you can do is select white with color selection tool, or select color range, and delete all white,
or selection of color range of black %, and copy and paste into new layer,
then you can use selection to expand width of lines,
you can also use pen/ path tool to redraw all lines and convert to stroke,
with lines on their own layer, you can adjust contrast to darken , or leave for now,
once you have linework layer, you can add new layers underneath to apply colours,
save psd file often, and when done save copy as jp or png for web,
select by color range ,
