My focus is on journalistic style photography. I limit the number of posed and staged photographs and try instead to highlight the laughter, tears, and passion that you and your guests will be feeling without my heavy involvement. I understand that each couple is unique in their style, personality, and biography and strive to produce images that reflect that individuality. The era of assembly line coverage and common, ordinary albums is over. I understand my client needs for exclusive, classic products and exceed their expectations. My company offers the grace, distinction, and style that is possible in wedding photography.

AIRLINES REPORTING COMMISSION SHOOTMay 09, 2008

I have been in Arlington, Virginia photographing a commercial assignment for ARC for the past four days.  The goal of the shoot was to arrive at imagery that will be used to launch their website in the near future.  The material will be used in print as well.  I worked closely with the Art Director and some of the Graphic Designers.  I had such a good time, and I want to thank everyone I had the opportunity to photograph and get to know.  I look forward to the next time we work together.  Maggie, you are fantastic and I can see why your team loves you.  I got up early on my last day and took some shots of my room at the AKA hotel.   Killer!!  I also included a few of my faves throughout my time there.  They have a casual dress code

KATIE & DAVIDMay 03, 2008

Wow, what a beautiful day this couple had for a wedding.  I had a very good time getting to know Katie and David as we moved around the beautiful grounds of the Hermitage.  Katie was so happy, and she was a bundle of emotions.  Emotions make for great pictures .  The ceremony went off without a hitch, and Katie actually jumped up and down a bit when she and David were pronounced man and wife.  It was very cute.  Two things happened at this wedding that had not before.  One, the couple had their first dance to a Bob Marley song I had not heard before.  I love Bob and have a ton of his music.  They pulled a B-Side out of the hat.  Second, the groom worked in Shakedown Street from the Grateful Dead.  Yes, the Grateful Dead at a wedding.  Nice job David...  You have good taste in music my friend.  Here are some I enjoyed taking:

I was looking through the candid stuff I got each night at St. John's.  I love 'em, so I figured I would share a few:

MONICA & MIKEMay 02, 2008

I was taken out of my comfort zone when this fun couple wanted to photograph their engagement session near Chicks Cafe and Bubbas. They wanted pylons, boats, and waterway.  We photographed very close to three restaurants, so for some of these, we had a nice crowd of on-lookers.  I like these and felt very relaxed as the sun set.  Beautiful...

LORENZO BRIDALMay 02, 2008

The weather was beautiful on Friday, but the landscaping of Monica's parents house was more amazing.  Monica and her mother wanted some photographs taken of Monica in her mother's wedding dress.  This dress was completely handmade by Monica's grandmother.  Grandma was watching the session as it took place, and I thought how cool it was that her sisters, mother, and grandmother were present.  I knew these pictures would be special.Monica's father is an avid photographer and man of the darkroom.  We talked split toned printing in our first meeting together.  The first shot is for you my friend.  I see it sitting on your desk...  Thank you for the wonderful time.
